    Original Guitar Content

    FogoGTR is a broadcast media company and producer of original content. We channel social and online platforms as well as traditional media outlets to reach the international guitar community. FogoGTR was born from FogoLabs Corp, a world leader in documentary and concert film production.

    Original Content Production

    Not limiting ourselves to producing concert and documentary films, we are developing guitar themed and related content that includes festival & concert reporting and coverage, guitar celebrity profiles, sit-coms, sci-fi, current affairs of the guitar world, how-to-guides in guitar building & modifications as well as product reviews (guitars, basses, amplifiers & accessories). Our original content will be programmed on various FogoGTR platforms to be launched over the course 2018

    Pierre Lamoureux
    Co-Founder of FogoGTR

    Pierre Lamoureux graduated with a B. Music degree from McGill University where he studied jazz bass, classical guitar and electronic music. Prior, he graduated with a Diploma in Performing Arts from Cambrian College where he studied classical guitar and trumpet. For a decade during the 90’s, Pierre toured North America and Europe and recorded a dozen albums with several bands. In the mid-90’s, with his brother François, he co-founded Full Stereo Records and secured domestic distribution and international licenses for several of its releases. During that time, Pierre was a music critic and journalist for Cl!k, a monthly French-Canadian cultural and current affairs magazine. After co-founding Enliven Entertainment shortly before 9/11, he eventually joined his brother François as part of FogoLabs Corp, a company François had created around the same time. Between 2003 and 2004, Pierre was a regular columnist at the Canadian Entertainment Network, a bi-weekly music and entertainment trade magazine.  Currently, Pierre produces and directs documentary and concert films.Pierre has worked with such major artists as The Who, Alanis Morissette, etc. (add).     Meet the Team

    Francois Lamoureux
    Co-Founder of FogoGTR

    François sums his life in one word: he is an “explorer”. He is a composer, guitarist, saxophonist, singer, songwriter, producer and director. François’ professional music career began as a teenager prior to his advanced music studies at McGill University which he fast-tracked so he could continue touring and recording with his various bands. Throughout the 90’s, François was a first-call studio guitarist having worked on over one hundred national television and radio advertising campaigns, a dozen film soundtracks and 15 albums including a solo instrumental album under the name Trem all the while touring North America and Europe. Also in the 90’s François was a guest writer for Guitar Player Brasil magazine contributing to a few issues. He retired from touring at the age of 30 and concentrated his career on directing, producing and mixing documentary and concert films. He founded FogoLabs and has worked with The Who, Rush, Cirque du Soleil, Harry Connick, Jr., Willie Nelson, Dream Theater, etc. He co-directed four seasons of the concert series Front and Center and one season of Speakeasy on Public Television. He is presently developing a new concert series called Live! Americana.  François can be followed on Instagram @tremguitar

    Hank Bordowitz

    You might have seen Hank Bordowitz on The Biography Channel’s Billy Joel, the MSG Network Series “MSG 50,” or a series of web biographies on artist including Bob Marley, Ringo Starr and Miles Davis. Other TV work includes the CBS Morning Show and VH-1 Music Watch on TV. He has appeared on a variety of radio shows including NPR’s “On the Record” and BBC’s “The Beat.” A music business veteran, Hank has worked as a radio and recording studio engineer, producer, musician, A&R consultant, radio programmer, and director at an early online music company. He has edited many music publications, including Creem Special Issues, Sheet Music Magazine, and Rock Scene.  His work has appeared in over a hundred magazines, including Bad Moon Rising, The Unauthorized History of Creedence Clearwater Revival (an ASCAP Deems Taylor Award and BMI Book Award Nominee), Dirty Little Secrets of the Record Business: Why So Much Music You Hear Sucks, “Led Zeppelin on Led Zeppelin, and “Every Little Thing Gonna Be Alright: The Bob Marley Reader.” His latest book, The Green Day FAQ will be out early in 2018.     Drew Slaney

    Drew Slaney has over ten years’ experience as a music journalist and Vlogger. He currently reports and produces for Loudguitars.com and FogoGTR for who he is developing original guitar building and repair programming which will be launching later in 2018. In the 90’s, Drew worked in artist relations, R&D and design with Godin Guitars and to this day, he builds and designs many of his guitars. Drew also does product reviews and commentary based on his studio and road experience having recorded and toured with various bands over his 30-year career. His current band, Who’s Driving has released two albums and currently producing a third which will be released in June 2018.     Kat Villacorta
    Videographer, Photographer & Contributor

    Kat Villacorta studied photography & media at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T). She has worked for American Media, Inc. (AMI) a company that owns and operates the leading print and digital celebrity and health and fitness media brands in the United States. She worked in the photo department with their celebrity publication Mira!, a leading Spanish-language magazine. She later became creative director for Divino magazine, a Spanish entertainment publication covering music, film and pop culture. Currently she photographs and directs content for TV & Film and Fashion, she is the main set and concert photographer for FogoLabs having worked with Harry Connick, Jr., Dream Theater, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet as well as four seasons of production of the Front and Center concert series and one season of Speakeasy on Public Television where she photographed Keith Urban, Zakk Wylde, Joe Satriani, Roger Waters, John Mellencamp, Santana, Counting Crows and many others. She has contributed CD, DVD and BD covers for Smashing Pumpkins, Judy Collins, Cyndi Lauper and her photos have been published in Rolling Stone, Country Weekly, Marie Claire and other entertainment and fashion lifestyle magazines.
